Are you playing with the prior version of the game, or the new post-patch game of the current Steam version? As for your statement that you are playing with mods - in isolation, that is a meaningless statement at this point, without context (something that smart people like you who are apparently more informed than the rest of us - should know). Flavor mods that haven't been updated since the last patch may not work either. Mods that were intended to solve the Windows verification issue are now obsolete.
